Q - What should my child(ren) wear to class?

A –Shorts, t-shirts, leggings, and gymnastics leotards are all acceptable attire. Gymnastics leotards are available for purchase at the club. Please, NO crop tops, sports bras, bare midriffs, denim, belts, buckles, zippers, buttons, skirts, dresses, tutus, etc. Long hair must be tied back, and no jewelry is permitted except for studs and sleeper earrings. Parents will be notified via email when their child(ren) is not suitably attired.


Q - How do I register my child(ren)?

A - You can register online through our app or through our website or by logging into your parent portal. If you are a previous member and unable to login to your account through the parent portal, please DO NOT create another account. Please EMAIL or CALL the office 613-967-9517 for assistance. 

Q - Is there a viewing area?

A – Yes, there is a viewing area, and we would ask that everyone respect this space by adhering to rules of NO outdoor footwear, horseplay, food, drink, disruptive behaviour, etc. Please respect the privacy and confidentiality of others by NOT taking photos or videos.

Q - Where do we drop off and pick up my child(ren)?

A - You must acompany your child(ren) into the building, all outdoor footwear is to be removed and left in the designated boot room off the lobby, then you and your child(ren) will proceed upstairs where your child(ren) will be collected by their coach who will guide them into the gym.

Pick up will occur in the lobby. Quinte Bay Gymnastics Club staff is responsible for your child(ren) during their scheduled class time only. As such we ask that you arrive on time when dropping off and picking up your child(ren).

Q - How are fees determined?

A - The 2022-2023 season will consist of 4 terms.

  • Fall Term – September 6, 2022 to December 3, 2022 (13 weeks)

  • Winter Term - December 5, 2022 to March 11, 2023 (10-12 weeks)

  • Spring Term – March 20, 2023 to June 17, 2023 (13 weeks)

  • Summer Term – July 4, 2023 to August 25, 2023 (8 weeks)

Fees will cover the entire term and are due in full at the time of registration. Your child(ren)’s spot in class is theirs for the full term and no refunds will be given should you choose to withdraw before the end of the term.

The annual Gymnastics Ontario Registration Fee of $40 is non-refundable and is not eligible to be pro-rated. This fee includes membership with Gymnastics Ontario and is applied to each gymnast upon registration for any class or camp and is valid for classes and camps between July 1st and June 30th of each calendar year.

Q - How does payment work?

A - All fees, including the annual GO Registration Fee, are due in full at the time of registering into a program. Fees to be processed at the time of 'check out'. NSF will be a charge of $25.

Q - What is your policy on refunds?

A - QBGC requires the following notice for withdrawals. All withdrawals must accompany a completed withdrawal form 
**Please Note: Refunds are subject to an Administrative Fee and contingent on waitlist student filling the spot, if less than minimum notice is given.

  • PA Day Camp - 14 days notice

  • Full Week Camp - 14 days notice

  • Birthday Parties - No refunds

  • Term Registration – As per above

Q - How do I withdraw my child(ren)?

A - Your child(ren)’s spot in class is theirs for the full term and no refunds will be given should you choose to withdraw before the end of the term.

Q - Do you offer trial classes or drop-in classes before registration?

A - Please contact the office to discuss available options.

Q - Can my child transfer to a different class?

A - Yes, space permitting, your child is welcome to transfer to an alternative class.

**Please Note: An administrative fee will apply for any changes to your registration.


Q - Do you offer make-up classes or refunds for classes missed?

A - We do not offer make-up classes, refunds, or credits for missed classes. However, fees are always adjusted for classes that are cancelled on behalf of the club.

Classes cancelled due to inclement weather will be offered a credit and must be used within one year from the date of issue. 

**Update: If QBGC must shut down for any reason, you will receive a credit on your account, less an administration fee, for any missed classes that must be used within one year from the date of issue.


Q - What about inclement weather?

A - Notifications regarding club closures due to inclement weather will be posted on our Website and Facebook Page. As well an email will be sent to all families and a push notification will be sent to those who have downloaded and are using our app..  As such it is extremely important that your contact information remain up to date.  


Q - Do you offer Private Lessons?

A - Please contact the office for information.


Q - When do you hold tryouts for your Competitive Gymnastics and Advanced Classes?

A - If your child(ren) is interested in pursuing an Advanced stream of gymnastics, your child(ren) must be tested/approved OR have passed the following:


  • Ages 5-6  Artistic Level 4

  • Ages 7-9  Artistic Level 6 or Tumbling Level 4

  • Ages 10+ Artistic Level 8 or Tumbling Level 10


  • Ages 9+   Trampoline Level 5


  • Ages 5-7  Artistic Level 4 or Tumbling Level 3

  • Ages 8-10  Artistic Level 7 or Tumbling Level 5

  • Ages 11+ Artistic Level 10 or Tumbling Level 7

Otherwise, we ask that your child(ren) do a term in our recreational program after which they will be placed into our levelling system which will allow for them, if appropriate, to move into an Advanced class.

Q - How can I obtain a receipt?

A - Your transaction history can be obtained in the ‘Billing and Payments’ section under your Parent Portal Login or you can contact the office via email and our staff would be happy to provide you with a receipt.


Q - Can I request a specific coach/teacher?

A - We will do our best to accommodate you, however, there is no guarantee given that staffing decisions are based on scheduling.

Q - What cleaning measures have you put in place due to COVID-19?

A - Increased signage to encourage physical distancing, increased hand washing, and sanitizing. Our team is working hard to ensure our facility is as clean as possible through enhanced cleaning measures. We have cleaning stations located throughout the gym and use a medical grade industrial fogger with Anti-bacterial Health Canada approved disinfectant solution. As well volunteers are in place each evening to clean high touch point areas.

Q - Is my child required to wear a mask during gymnastics?
