Here at Quinte Bay Gymnastics we strive at providing the fun, fitness and fundamentals of gymnastics in our 20,000 square foot facility. We are proud to have 1200 athletes come through the doors weekly, gaining a personalized gymnastics experience with one of our many trained coaches.
As our facility expands, we are always looking to expand our coaching team. Whether you are 13 and looking to volunteer as a Coach-In-Training, or are over 16 and would like to start coaching, there are opportunities available. We run over 130 recreational classes per week along with camps, birthday parties and school trips.
As our competitive team grows we are seeking qualified Competition 1 (Introduction) coaches, with experience for our pre-competitive program, provincial women's artistic program, acrobatic gymnastics program, provincial/national tumbling program, and/or our trampoline program.
To apply for a Coaching position or a Coach-In-Training position please complete the Coaching Application. For new applicants please include a resume and cover letter stating why you would be an asset to the QBGC team!
Quinte Bay Gymnastics Club welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities. Accommodations are available on request for candidates taking part in all aspects of the selection process.
We thank all applicants for their interest in Quinte Bay Gymnastics; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
We are excited to launch our NEW one of a kind Leadership Training Program for those interested or looking to become a coach.
The Leadership Training Program will lay the foundation for you to be develop some of the skills that are required to become a great leader and coach. There will be opportunities for self-reflection, setting goals, understanding social cues, improving communication, behaviour management, planning a lesson, gym rules, expectations, procedures, routines, and so much more.
Throughout the course we will learn more about you as you learn more about becoming a coach and leader. Each week there will be an 'In Gym' portion where we will focus on the 'magic' and skill intention laid out with each lesson and gymnastic progression.
There will be two opportunities throughout the program where you will select a mentor coach, shadow them, and reflect on what you observed during that time.
At the end of the 21 hour program we will have a wrap up session where we will review, reflect and evaluate the program and in the gym you will have the opportunity to build your own circuit.
